In todays neighborhoods we interact with multi-ethnic
and multi-racial families with different demographic and psychographic
goals. Todays intrinsic family values are deteriorating
because of the fast changes that are taking place in our communities
and in the United States as a whole. Some parents are no longer
concerned for the future of their children, this occurs because
parents are not taking the time to teach them the values they
need in life, or able to partake in life as they grow from
childhood to adulthood. Todays nuclear families are
being destroyed due to ignorance, lack of self-esteem, and
parents lack of concerns for their duties and responsibilities
related to their children. This is why the New York Military Youth Cadets is providing attention and help to our
communities youth before they are lost to societys ills.
The New York Military Youth Cadets will make a difference
by creating a safer environment for our youth, their peers
and the community. We will give the youth the torch of life,
resurrection and leadership to provide them with the guidance
that much of our youth does not have because they are surrounded
with people that are negative towards society.
The New York Military Youth Cadets instills professionalism
in our Corps by conducting our operations as a quasi-military
organization. The primordial foundational aspects are to aid,
educate, protect, promote the physical and emotional health
and well-being of our communities youth. This is a unique
opportunity to build patriotism and family values.
The New York Military Youth Cadets has become the foundation
that our children need to share their experiences with each
other. We strive to teach them a military structure of responsibility,
loyalty, discipline, integrity, conduct through our Uniform
Code of Cadet Justice.
I love this country for giving me the opportunity to serve
in the U.S. Marine Corps and therefore, I feel that it is
my duty and responsibility to continue the proud traditions
that were instilled upon me by them.
